Introducing Offtime

We built Offtime to solve a problem we kept running into ourselves — weekends slipping by without doing the things we actually wanted to do.

We built Offtime to solve a problem we kept running into ourselves — weekends slipping by without doing the things we actually wanted to do.

Not for lack of wanting. Life is full of interesting things happening nearby: concerts, markets, hikes, pop-ups, family events. The problem is finding them, filtering out the noise, and actually deciding on something before Friday night turns into scrolling on the couch.

What Offtime does

Every week, Offtime sends you a curated set of weekend plans tailored to your interests, your family, and where you live. Not a firehose of events — a short, considered list of things worth your time.

If something doesn't fit, you can chat with Offtime to adjust. Wrong vibe, wrong age group, wrong part of town — just say so, and it recalibrates.

Over time, Offtime learns what you actually enjoy, so the suggestions keep getting better.

How we think about recommendations

We pull events from a wide range of sources and run them through an AI that understands your preferences at a level a generic event app can't. It knows you prefer outdoor activities on nice weekends, that your kids are at an age where they'd enjoy a science museum but not a lecture, that you'd rather drive 20 minutes than sit in traffic for an hour.

That context is what makes the difference between a list of random events and a plan that actually sounds good.

What's next

We're just getting started. We're working on better coverage of more cities, smarter handling of recurring events, and ways to share plans with friends and family.

If you have feedback or ideas, we'd love to hear from you at feedback@offtime.ai.
